Anna Malaika Tubbs

Anna Malaika Tubbs is an author, advocate, educator, and scholar. Anna pursued her passions at the University of Cambridge where she holds a masters in Multidisciplinary Gender Studies and a Ph.D. in Sociology. During her time at Cambridge, she focused on addressing gender and race issues in the US. Anna released her first book in 2021 titled, The Three Mothers: How the mothers of Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, and James Baldwin Shaped a Nation, which celebrates Black motherhood by telling the story of the three women who raised and shaped some of America's most pivotal heroes. It was a New York Times’ Bestseller, a New York Times Editor’s Choice, and an Amazon’s Editor Choice, the book has achieved critical acclaim and has been featured in Oprah Daily, People Magazine, USA today and more.   Read more.
