This engaging talk will focus and discuss in detail Orwell's role in both the Spanish Civil War and the Cold War, as well as his achievements and legacy.

Peter Stansky is emeritus professor of History at Stanford University. His talk will be moderated by Julien Reiman, who received his MPhil in American History from Trinity College in May 2022. Interested guests may also sign up for dinner at Burma Ruby in Palo Alto where alumna Lin Yan (Murray Edwards 2000) will introduce Burmese cuisine.
