Join CantabNYC for our happy hour on Thursday, September 29 at the Salmagundi Art Club.
September’s event will take place in the club’s cozy Parlor Room on the first floor. There will be opportunities to explore the club’s artwork and meet its members. September’s art exhibit in the Parlor will be Emil Carlson and there will be an exhibit on printmaking on the second floor. Pieces by Bach, Beethoven, and Schubert (among others) will again be performed by Seth Schultheis.
The Salmagundi Club is one of the oldest art organizations in the United States, beginning as the New York Sketch Club in 1871. The club was renamed in 1877 in honor of Washington Irving's publication 'The Salmagundi Papers' and for the famous 'Salmagundi Stew' that was often served in the club's dining room.
We look forward to seeing you.
