Joseph E. Stiglitz

Joseph E. Stiglitz is an American economist and a professor at Columbia University. He came to Fitzwilliam College in 1965 as a Fulbright Scholar, where he completed an MA. He was also a Tapp Research Fellow at Gonville and Caius College, where he remains an Honorary Fellow. Professor Stiglitz shared the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2001 for his analyses of markets with asymmetric information.  Read more.
