Lieutenant Kayla Barron is an American astronaut, currently serving as a submarine warfare officer in the U.S. Navy. Her passion for curbing the effects of climate led her to Cambridge, where she sat for an MPhil in Nuclear Engineering as a Gates Cambridge Scholar. Kayla is a NASA astronaut who served as a member of the NASA SpaceX Crew-3 mission to the International Space Station, which launched on November 10, 2021.
