Nicholas Patrick

Nicholas Patrick is a British-American engineer and a former NASA astronaut. He was raised in London and New York, and became a United States citizen in 1994. He completed a BA in engineering at Trinity College, Cambridge, where he also learned to fly as a member of the Royal Air Force’s Volunteer Reserve. He completed a Ph.D. at MIT, after which he worked in Boeing’s Commercial Airplane Group. Patrick was selected by NASA as an astronaut candidate in 1998, and logged over 308 hours in space. He joined Blue Origin in 2012, where he currently works as Flight Director and Senior Director of Human Integration.  Read more.
