C. Kern Wildenthal, MD PhD
C. Kern Wildenthal, MD PhD is President-Emeritus of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, having retired in 2008 after serving 22 years as President. Subsequently, through Wildenthal Consulting, he has been a Consultant for UT Southwestern, Columbia University Medical Center, The Gladstone Research Institutes of San Francisco, and Children’s Health System of Texas (where he also served as Foundation President from 2013-2016). He is an Operating Partner for Healthcare at Satori Capital. Dr. Wildenthal was a founding director of CAm, after having been on the board of the American Friends of Cambridge University beginning in 1989. He matriculated at St. Catharine’s College in 1968, reading for a PhD in cell biology after receiving his BA from Sul Ross College and his MD from UT Southwestern Medical Center. Since 1995, he has been an Honorary Fellow of Hughes Hall.
