Thomas Nelson, Jr. (Christ's 1758) was a key figure in Virginia's revolutionary efforts. Educated at Cambridge, Nelson returned to America to become a leader in the Virginia House of Burgesses and a staunch opponent of British rule. As a Continental Congress delegate and later a Brigadier General in the Virginia militia, he played a pivotal role in the American victory at Yorktown.
