Join us for an enlightening event as we delve into the intersection of sustainability, capitalism, and global crises.

Our featured speaker, Professor Christopher Marquis, acclaimed author of the new book "The Profiteers," will lead an insightful discussion on how capitalism can play a pivotal role in addressing the pressing challenges confronting our world today.

In an era marked by environmental degradation, social inequality, and economic instability, the need for innovative solutions has never been more urgent. Professor Marquis will explore how businesses and entrepreneurs can shift their focus from mere sustainability to regeneration—a concept that aims not only to mitigate harm but also to actively restore and replenish our planet and communities.

Drawing on his decades of research and expertise, Professor Marquis will discuss how capitalism, when guided by principles of social responsibility and environmental stewardship, can serve as a powerful force for positive change. Through real-world examples and case studies, he will illustrate how businesses can align profit incentives with the broader goals of sustainability and regeneration, fostering win-win outcomes for both shareholders and society.

Participants will gain valuable insights into practical strategies for integrating sustainability into business models, driving innovation, and creating shared value. Moreover, Professor Marquis will address the role of government policies, consumer behaviour, and corporate leadership in advancing the transition towards a more sustainable and equitable future.

Whether you're an entrepreneur, business leader or policy maker, this event offers a unique opportunity to explore how capitalism can be harnessed as a catalyst for transformative change. Join us as we embark on a journey towards a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient world for generations to come.

Marquis is the author of The Profiteers: How Business Privatizes Profits and Socialize Costs. He has also authored more than 20 peer-reviewed academic articles and more than 50 Harvard business cases on topics related to social innovation, sustainable business and doing business in China.
