Cambridge Alumni of Northern California invites you to the University Club of San Francisco during San Francisco Climate Week to a Panel Discussion of the promising technology of Carbon Capture on April 25.
The evening will include brief presentations from speakers with various backgrounds followed by a panel discussion surrounding the new technology used by Carbon Capture. For information about the speakers, follow the link below.
There will be an open bar and canapes available to guests. Tickets are for sale with early bird pricing available until April 15.

Event Speakers
Deanne Barrow
Deanne Barrow is a corporate lawyer at the global law firm of Norton Rose Fulbright.
Barrow holds an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Georgia Tech and a law degree from Girton College, Cambridge.
Her legal practice focuses on helping companies develop and finance energy transition projects. Drawing on her background as a chemical engineer, she specializes in structuring and negotiating agreements for carbon capture projects, hydrogen projects, LNG, transmission lines, battery storage, solar, wind and other large-scale infrastructure projects around the world. She is based in San Francisco.
Matt Atwood
Matt is a technologist, chemist, entrepreneur and pioneer in the DAC space. He has over 20 years of experience in renewable and climate technology development, and over a decade of experience with DAC and carbon dioxide utilization technologies.
Matt developed the world's first energy positive wastewater treatment platform as founder and CEO of Algae Systems.
He has built and communicated technologies in carbon dioxide, water, AgTech, water management, and biofuels.
Zach Liu
Experienced Licensed Professional Petroleum Engineer, Licensed Professional Geologist and CFA charter holder with 20+ years in upstream Oil & Gas, specializing in CO2/EOR/CCS for the last 13 years. Currently Subsurface Director at Harvestone Low Carbon Partners, which operates active CO2 injection at Blue Flint CCS site. Former 60th SPWLA president. Multidisciplinary skills in Petrophysics, Geology, Geomechanics, and Finance, applied across Permian Basin, Gulf Coast, Williston Basin, Eagle Ford, Rockies, Illinois Basin, conventional/unconventional, and A&D business development. Holds degrees from Beihang University, University of Houston, and University of Texas-Austin. Owner of 3 U.S. patents, author of 25+ papers in SPE, SIG, SPWLA symposiums, journals, and trade publications. Avid golfer with a hole-in-one achievement from 202 yards with a 5-iron.
David Tattershall
David Tattershall entered the climate change space in 2006 as a consultant to an investor who was reviewing LEED certification.
For over a decade he has worked closely with Perses Bilimoria, Dr. Michael MacCracken and Dr. Mark Trexler. Collectively this group has devoted 10s of 1000s of hours to the subject matter and 100s of hours interacting. Recently, joined by Andy Sneyd (Sir David King’s son-in-law) they co-founded the Climate Change Due Diligence Group Ltd (registered in the UK).
The mission of the CCDD Group Ltd is to implement a tactical, financial and operational plan to effectively address climate change.
